Hank Houser

Hank Houser has worked in the construction industry since 1990, developing a particular expertise with planning for construction, museum design and daylighting. Prior to Houser Walker Architecture, Hank was a senior project manager working with Lord, Aeck & Sargent’s Arts & Culture studio. Hank led the design team effort of a number of significant projects, including the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Hank also led Lord, Aeck & Sargent’s design effort through Design Development of the High Museum of Art expansion in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

Hank currently serves on the board of the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center and is the chairman of the committee that is rewriting the Predesign section of the State Construction Manual. Hank has spoken at numerous local and national museum conferences on subjects regarding daylighting, planning for construction, and sustainable building strategies.

Hank’s individual design work has won several awards, including an AIA Georgia Citation Award. His work has been displayed at the 1996 AIA convention and at the 2004 and 2005 Greenprints Conference. In addition, several of Hanks projects completed with Lord, Aeck & Sargent have been recognized with multiple design awards.
