Atlanta, GA Phase I of the renovation work, completed in 2003, consisted of a small addition to the front of the existing house to enlarge the master suite and provide a new front porch and entry. The design incorporated high clerestory windows and large overhangs to let in soft natural light while affording privacy. Corner windows were strategically located to permit views out from the reading and office areas.
Phase II was completed in 2011 and completes the original expansion and renovation plan envisioned for the house. The new addition includes a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a garden terrace, and a roof terrace. The addition incorporates exposed architectural concrete walls, polished concrete floors, custom steel and glass walls which contain two 6 ft x10 ft pivoting glass doors.
