“Choice Cuts” is a series of furniture pieces which explore the latent capabilities within a CNC computer aided manufacturing process. Each of the designs creates subtly articulated surfaces by modulating the depth of a built up “block” of several laminated sheets of plywood. Blocks are then assembled to create the piece as a whole.

Small changes in size and configuration can easily be made during the manufacturing phase, allowing the buyer to more easily attain a “custom” fit suited to their particular use, body type, or living patterns. Materials in the collection include apple, maple, and birch veneered plywoods with cherry, mahogany or walnut inserts.
